Cute Dog Videos: Update!

quentin | January 31st, 2010

Do you remember that video of those adorable 25 day old Golden Retriever puppies from a couple of weeks ago?  Well we’ve found a video of the same puppies, 30 days later!  My how they’ve grown, but they might actually be even cuter now!  What do you think?

Best Dog Videos: Well Trained Again

quentin | January 29th, 2010

To spare you the bad video quality, poor music and canned laughter of that well trained dog entry, I’ve found a much better video of the same dog doing the same thing, but on some kind of TV show.  Enjoy!

Best Dog Videos: Cutest

quentin | January 15th, 2010

Another contender for the title of Curest Dog Video is this fantastic clip of these Golden Retreiver puppes at just 25 days old. Things to look out for include:

  • One puppy standing still for a strange amount of time, apparently deep in thought as the others are playing, then suddenly leaping on another!
  • The puppy trying to catch his tail
  • The adorable “barks”

Overall I think this is aa strong contender for the very cutest video entered into the Best Dog Videos Competition!

Best Dog Videos: Well Trained

quentin | January 14th, 2010

Now, here is an example of a well trained dog, with a little bit of humour to add!  Nobody really wants to watch Sheep Dogs running around, so here is a fun example of a very well trained animal.  You will, sadly, have to ignore the terrible laugher and strange bluegrass background music, but don’t turn the sound off because you need to hear the commands the dog is being given.

I expect a lot of this is the product of a few simple commands, but it’s impressive anyway!  A definite entry into the Well Trained category of Best Dog Videos!

Best Dog Videos: Cutest

quentin | January 12th, 2010

Yet another adorable video entry, this time of a Matlese doing tricks for treats!  This is one seriesly cute doggy; beautiful fluffy white coat and clearly very clever.  Tricks include:

  • Sitting, lying and rolling.
  • Spinning
  • Closing the door
  • Jumping
  • Standing, then falling down when “shot” (slightly odd that one)
  • Fetching a hat on demand

To be honest, I’ve seen smater and better trained dogs – but I’ve rarely seen one quite so cute!  For this reason, I’m putting it in the Cute Category, not the Well Trained one.  I hope that’s alright with everybody!

Keep ‘em coming!

Best Dog Videos: The Cutest

quentin | January 8th, 2010

It’s time for another entry into our “Best Dog Videos” competition. Today’s entry is quite possible the cutest dog video I’ve ever seen – could it be the best out there?

You’ll have to excuse the annoying lady at the start; I tried to find a version without her, but alas could not. In this video, there is a baby and a dog, so it immediately has double-cute factor from the start.

Sadly, the fist thing I thought when I watched this for the first time was “I wonder if they have dog insurance…” before immediately thinking “To hell with that; I wonder if the have baby insurance!”

Keep sending in your offerings, though this one is hard to beat in the “cute” category!

Another Cute Puppy

quentin | December 26th, 2009

After the popularity of the last video of a cute puppy whistling, we thought we’d share another cute puppy video with you – a different reaction to whistling this time, but possibly just as cute!

If this one is as popular as the last, we might have to start a competition to find the best dog videos out there! Let us know what you think!

Remember this viral about a sleeping dog crashing into a wall in his sleep?
Massive lol. I hope the owner takes out dog insurance.

Upsidedown Dogs!

quentin | December 16th, 2009

Those of you who enjoy funny and cute pictures of dogs might be intersted in this website: www.upsidedowndogs.com!

It features a constantly updated collection of pictures of dogs in the strangest of positions – upside down! Now, anybody with a dog will know that, when lying on their back, dogs look totally bizarre – almost vampiric some of them! Well, this website has taken this idea and made it into a trend to take a picture of your dog lying upside down, flip it around so the dog looks the right way up and then send it into the sight for other people to comment on and enjoy! The results are sometimes creepy, often unsightly, but almost always very amusing! It’s also very interesting to see the differences in the variouis breeds when they are upside down; some faces change more than others, as I expect you had already guessed.

I should mention that, despite how strange they look when they’re lying on their back, this doesn’t hurt the dog. Most dog owners will have seen their dog lying on its bac already but, for those who haven’t experienced the phenomena, prepare for a suprise!

Here is one of our favourites, to get the ball rolling:

Cute Puppy Whistling!

quentin | November 15th, 2009

Here at the Dog Health Blog, we’re not just about information, statistics and serious points about pet insurance; we also love bringing you videos and clips of some of the cutest, funniest and cleverest dog we’ve ever seen.  After all, this is a blog for dog lovers, so why not share some videos of the animals that rule our lives?

This video, for example, caught our eye as being one of the most adorable clips we’ve ever seen of a puppy – whistling in repsonse to his owner!  A classic dog trick, but rarely seen in a puppy so young!  Also, rarely quite as cute.  Check it out:
